INGREDIENTS:


  • Mutton - 200 g

  • Curd - 1 cup

  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp

  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp

  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp

  • Coriander powder - 2 tsp

  • Poppy seed - 1 tsp

  • Cinnamon stick - 1 small pinch

  • Onion - 1 no

  • Clove - 3 nos

  • Cardamom - 2 no

  • Oil - as required

  • Pepper - 1 tsp

  • Salt - as required

METHOD:


  • Marinate mutton with curd, turmeric powder, chilli powder, ginger paste, salt and allow it to marinate for an hour.

  • Dry roast coriander powder, grind poppy seed to a fine paste.pound cinnamon, clove and cardamom.

  • Heat oil in a pan, saute onion until golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and fry. To this add ground spices.

  • Add chilli powder cook for 2 minutes. Add marinated mutton and simmer to a lower flame. Pour the required amount of water and allow the mutton to cook.

  • Cook till mutton turns brown and crisp. Remove from fire serve with rice.
