DONDAKAYA FRY

INGREDIENT

  • Tindora - 250g

  • Cumin seeds - 1tsp

  • Red chilli - 2 nos

  • Green chilli - 2 nos

  • Curry leaves - few

  • Asafoetida - a pinch

  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp

  • Chilli powder - ½ tsp

  • Garam masala - ½ tsp

  • Coriander powder - ½ tsp

  • Salt - to taste

  • Oil - as required

  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp

METHOD

  • Heat oil in a pan and cumin Seeds. Add dried red chillies, curry leaves, finely chopped green chillies & asafoetida and fry.

  • Add the thinly sliced tindora to the pan. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, salt and lemon juice.

  • Stir fry the tindora on a medium flame. After 5 minutes cover it with a lid and cook on a low flame for 15 minutes

  • Dondakaya fry is ready.
