INGREDIENTS
Jack fruit - 200 g
Tomatoes - 1 no
Onion - 1 no
Cumin seed - ½ tsp
Mustard seed - ½ tsp
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Red chilli - 3 nos
Curry leaves - few
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Garam masala - ¼ tsp
Cashew nuts - 1 tbsp
Salt - to taste
METHOD
If you’re using raw jackfruit, cut them into pieces and marinate it with salt and turmeric and boil it till they are semi cooked and soft.
Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, mustard, red chilli, garlic, curry leaves, tomato and cook them well.
Add the onions and saute them till they are brown.
Add the tamarind water and cook for 2 minutes. Now add the jackfruit and garam masala
Cook till the jackfruit is done. Garnish with coriander leaves.
