INGREDIENTS


  • Jack fruit - 200 g

  • Tomatoes - 1 no

  • Onion - 1 no

  • Cumin seed - ½ tsp

  • Mustard seed - ½ tsp

  • Garlic paste - 1 tsp

  • Red chilli - 3 nos

  • Curry leaves - few

  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp

  • Garam masala - ¼ tsp

  • Cashew nuts - 1 tbsp

  • Salt - to taste

METHOD


  • If you’re using raw jackfruit, cut them into pieces and marinate it with salt and turmeric and boil it till they are semi cooked and soft.

  • Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, mustard, red chilli, garlic, curry leaves, tomato and cook them well.

  • Add the onions and saute them till they are brown.

  • Add the tamarind water and cook for 2 minutes. Now add the jackfruit and garam masala 

  • Cook till the jackfruit is done. Garnish with coriander leaves.
