Misal Pav

ree

Ingredients:


  • Sprouts – 1.5 cups

  • Water – 1 cup

  • Oil – 1 tbsp

  • Onions – 1 cup (Chopped)

  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp

  • Tomato – ½ cup (Chopped)

  • Salt – to taste

  • Turmeric Powder – a pinch

  • Garam Masala – ½ tsp

  • Red Chili Powder – ½ tsp

  • Garam Masala – 1 tsp

  • Coriander Powder – ½ tsp

  • Water – ¾ cup

  • Pav Buns – 6 


Garnish:


  • Onion – ¼ cup

  • Green Chilli (optional)

  • Lemon Juice 

  • Coriander Leaves


Method:


  • Add water to sprouts in a pressure cooker, cook for 10- 15 mins. 

  • Heat oil in a pan. Fry onions until golden brown. 

  • Saute ginger garlic paste until raw smell goes.

  • Add tomatoes, turmeric and salt. Cook until tomatoes turns soft.

  • Add the masala powders and cook until oil starts separating.

  • Add the sprouts along with the water used for cooking the same.

  • Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes till oil seperates. 

  • Add coriander leaves and remove from flame.

  • Top with fresh onions, green chilli, lemon juice and serve with toasted pav buns
