INGREDIENTS:
Mung dal - ½ cup
Raw mango - ½ cup
Red chillies - 2 no
Cumin seed - ½ tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - as required
Mustard seeds - ¼ tsp
Urad dal - ¼ tsp
Curry leaves - few
Red chilli - 1 no
Hing - a pinch
METHOD:
Heat oil in a pan add moong dal and roast, add cumin seeds fry for few minutes and keep it aside.
In the same pan add red chilies for few seconds, let them cool completely. Grind the roasted dal and red chilli into a coarse paste by adding a little water.
Then add chopped mango and salt grind it to a coarse paste. Transfer the chutney into a bowl.
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, urad dal and let them splutter.
Pour this over the ground chutney and combine well.
Serve it with rice.
