MAMIDIKIYA PESARAPPU PACHADI

INGREDIENTS:


  • Mung dal - ½ cup

  • Raw mango - ½  cup

  • Red chillies - 2 no

  • Cumin seed - ½ tsp

  • Salt - to taste

  • Oil - as required

  • Mustard seeds - ¼ tsp

  • Urad dal - ¼ tsp

  • Curry leaves - few

  • Red chilli - 1 no

  • Hing - a pinch

METHOD:


  • Heat oil in a pan add moong dal and roast, add cumin seeds fry for few minutes and keep it aside.

  • In the same pan add red chilies for few seconds, let them cool completely. Grind the roasted dal and red chilli into a coarse paste by adding a little water.

  • Then add chopped mango and salt grind it to a coarse paste. Transfer the chutney into a bowl.

  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, urad dal and let them splutter.

  • Pour this over the ground chutney and combine well.

  • Serve it with rice.
