Maharastrian Multigrain Thalipeeth – 4 serves

Ingredients:


  • Jowar Flour – 1 cup

  • Ragi Flour – ½ cup

  • Besan flour – ½ cup

  • Powdered Oats – 80 g

  • Methi Leaves 250 g

  • Sesame seeds – 2 tbsp

  • Green Chilli – 1 no

  • Ginger – 1 inch

  • Asafetida – ¼ 

  • Curd – ½ cup 

  • Salt – 1 tsp

  • Oil as required

Method:


  • Combine all ingredients except curd and oil in a large bowl. Stir in curd, add water if necessary, knead to make a smooth dough. Allow the dough to rest for 10-15 minutes.

  • Divide the dough into 2 inch diameter balls and roll the to 4-6 inch diameter circles.

  • Place the discs on a hot skillet. After few seconds you will see small bubbles starting to rise on the dough.

  • Reduce the flame, flip the disc and drizzle little oil over it. Cook with press and turn motion to maintain even cooking.

  • Serve hot.
