Ingredients


  • Cow’s Colostrum Milk – 1 cup

  • Whole Milk – 6 cups

  • Green Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp

  • Pepper Powder – 2 pinch

  • Jaggery Powder – 400 g


Method


  • In a large bowl, mix colostrums, milk and jiggery.

  • Stir well until jiggery dissolves.

  • Filter this into a deep bowl. (if the bowl is not deep, the milk will boil over inside the steamer)

  • Sprinkle pepper and cardamom powder.

  • Add water to a steamer/ idly cooker. When water starts boiling, reduce the flame to medium.

  • Place the bowl inside the steamer and let it steam for 25-40 minutes. Check after 25 mins and continue steaming if the pudding is not done.

  • The milk would have set well and you fill find some jiggery water on the surface.

  • Ensure you check and refill water in the steamer.

  • Once done, let it cool and refrigerate. Cut to desired size and serve.
