HESARU BELE THOVE/ MOONG DAL GRAVY FOR IDLY

INGREDIENTS
Moong dal – ¼ cup
Tomato – 1 small
Turmeric - pinch
Green chilli – 2 nos
Red chilli – 2 nos.
Ginger – ½ inch
Coriander leaves – few (chopped)
Salt – as per taste
Water – 2 cups
Mustard seeds – ¼ tsp
Oil -2 tsp
Asafoetida – pinch
Curry leaves – 4-5 nos
For Grinding
Grated coconut – ½ cup
Mustard seeds – ¼ tsp
INSTRUCTIONS
Cook Green gram dal in pressure cooker with water and pinch of turmeric powder. Grind coconut and mstard seeds to a smooth paste by adding required water
To the cooked dal, add chopped tomatoes, slit green chilli and cook til tomatoes are soft and mushy.
Add the grounded paste, salt, water to the cooked dal and tomato and bring to a boil.
Garnish with coriander leaves and temper it with oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves
