DAVANAGERE BENNE DOSA

INGREDIENTS


  • Rice – 3 cup

  • Fenugreek seeds – ½ tsp

  • Urad dal – 1 cup

  • Puffed rice – 2 cup (washed and squeezed)

  • Oil and butter for roasting

  • Salt – as needed


INSTRUCTIONS


  • Soak rice and fenugreek seeds for 5 hours. And urad dal for 3 hours.

  • Drain off the water and grind urad dal to smooth paste.

  • Drain off the water and grind the rice to coarse paste adding water of required.

  • Now, take the washed and squeezed puffed rice and grind to a smooth paste.

  • Mix all the batters together, cover and let it rest overnight. After 8 hours, add salt to the batter and mix well.

  • Heat the pan and pour ladleful of dosa batter.soread out the dosa slightly thicker.

  • Spread oil and butter on sides of dosa. Cook the dosa on both sides.

  • Finally serve and top it with butter.
