INGREDIENTS
Ladies finger – 200 gms
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Tamarind extract – ¼ cup
Jaggery – 2 tbsp
Urad dal – 2 tsp
Red chilli – 2-3 nos
Fenugreek seeds – ½ tsp
Grated coconut – ¼ cup
Oil – for cooking
Salt – as per taste
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves - few
INSTRUCTIONS
Wash and chop ladies finger, add salt, turmeric powder, jiggery, tamarind extract and cook ladies finger.
Heat oil in pan ad roasted red chilies, urad dal fenugreek seeds, and fry until the dal turns golden brown. To this add coconut and little water and grind to a smooth paste.
Add this paste to the cooked ladies finger, mix well, add salt and required water, bring it to boil and turn off the stove.
Temper with oil, red chili, mustard seeds, curry leaves.
