BANGWI/ RICE CAKES STEAMED IN LAIRU LEAF

INGREDIENTS


  • Rice – 500 gms (while flavoured sticky rice- Binni or Govindobhog. Washed and sun dried)

  • Ginger – 2 inch 

  • Onion – 2

  • Oil/ Ghee – 2-3 tbsp

  • Banana leaves – 5

  • Salt – as pr tatste


INSTRUCTIONS


  • Mix the rice with ghee or oil, onion, ginger and salt

  • Make a cone shape in banana leaf and fill the rice mixture.

  • Tie the banana leaf, place it in water and boil for 1 hour
