ARUNACHAL PRADESH ZAN/ FINGER MILLET PORRIDGE WITH VEGETABLES

INGREDIENTS


  • Ragi flour – 4 tbsp

  • Water – 1 ½ cup

  • Carrot – 1 (sliced)

  • Spinach – 1 cup

  • Soybeans or any beans – ¼ cup boiled

  • Green peas – ¼ cup

  • Salt – as per taste

  • Black pepper powder – 1 tsp

  • Coriander leaves – few

  • Ghee – 1tbsp

INSTRUCTIONS


  • Roast the Ragi flour in a kadai with 1 tbsp. of ghee. Mix the flour in water and cook till it becomes semi thick pate.

  • Blanch the vegetables in water with little salt.

  • In a vessel take 1 ½ cup of water and bring to boil, add the millet flour paste to this and mix well.

  • Add the blanched vegetables, season with salt and pepper. Keep stirring until it comes to porridge consistency and switch off the flame.
