SURA PUTTU

INGREDIENTS:


  • Paal sura - 2 big pieces

  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

  • Garlic - 1 tbsp

  • Ginger - 1 tbsp ( finely chopped)

  • Chillies - 1 no

  • Curry leaves - few

  • Onion - 1 no

  • Pepper - 1 tbsp

  • Salt - as required


METHOD:


  • Clean the fish and cut it into pieces. Take ½ cup of water in a plan and bring it to a boil. Add salt, turmeric powder you can see the colour and texture change, once its cooked peel off the skin and shred the fish and set aside.

  • Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard seeds,cumin seeds add chopped onions, green chillies, garlic, ginger and curry leaves.

  • After frying for couple of minutes, add the shredded fish mixture. Add little salt. Keep sauteing for few more minutes until lightly browned.

  • Garnish with coriander leaves and pepper, give a quick toss and switch off and serve hot.
