SPINACH MEDU VADA

INGREDIENTS:


  • Urad dal - 1 cup

  • Spinach - 1 cup

  • Carrot - 1 no

  • Onion - 1 no

  • Chillies - 1 no

  • Curry leaves - few

  • Oil - as required

  • Salt - as required


METHOD:


  • Soak urad dal for at least 4 hours and grind it in a wet grinder.

  • Take the batter in a bowl, add finely chopped onions, spinach, carrot, chillies, curry leaves and give it a mix.

  • Heat the pan on a medium flame add oil, take a small portion of batter shape to a ball, flatten with thumb.

  • Gently slide vada in the pan and shallow fry it till they turn golden on both sides.

  • Serve the spinach medu vada with chutney and sambhar.
