MILLET PIDI KOZHUKATTAI

INGREDIENTS:


  • Millet flour - 1 cup

  • Ragi - ½ cup

  • Grated coconut - 1 cup

  • Ghee - 2 tsp

  • Palm jaggery - ½ cup

  • Salt - a pinch


METHOD:


  • To a pan add millet flour and ragi dry roast it, transfer to a mixing bowl and set aside.

  • Add palm jaggery and water to a pan, let it dissolve completely, then simmer the syrup for 5 mins and switch off. Strain and add syrup to the bowl. Add grated coconut to it.

  • Grease your hand with ghee. Mix well together, tale a small portion of the dough and press with fingers to form an impression. 

  • Place the prepared kozhukattais in the steamer plates and cook for 15 mins.

  • Serve hot.
