INJI THOGAYAL

INGREDIENTS:

  • Ginger - 50 g

  • Urad dal - 4 tsp

  • Roasted bengal gram - 2 tsp

  • Red chilli - 4 nos

  • Tamarind - 1 small size ball

  • Asafoetida - a pinch

  • Salt - for taste

  • Oil - as required

  • Jaggery - 1 tsp


METHOD:

  • Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan, add chopped ginger and fry till raw smell goes.

  • Heat 1 tsp of oil in a separate pan. Add asafoetida, urad dal, roasted bengal gram and chilli and roast for 2 minutes and switch off the flame.let it cool for 5 minutes.

  • Add ginger, jaggery tamarind, salt, chilli and the roasted ingredients into a mixer grinder.

  • Grind it coarsely. Inji thogayal is ready to serve.
