INGREDIENTS:
Ginger - 50 g
Urad dal - 4 tsp
Roasted bengal gram - 2 tsp
Red chilli - 4 nos
Tamarind - 1 small size ball
Asafoetida - a pinch
Salt - for taste
Oil - as required
Jaggery - 1 tsp
METHOD:
Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan, add chopped ginger and fry till raw smell goes.
Heat 1 tsp of oil in a separate pan. Add asafoetida, urad dal, roasted bengal gram and chilli and roast for 2 minutes and switch off the flame.let it cool for 5 minutes.
Add ginger, jaggery tamarind, salt, chilli and the roasted ingredients into a mixer grinder.
Grind it coarsely. Inji thogayal is ready to serve.
