CHETTINAD FISH CURRY

INGREDIENTS:
Fish - 200 g
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 no
Tomato - 1 no
Curry leaves - few
Tamarind - 1small size ball
Coriander - few
For sauteing and grinding
Oil - 1 tbsp
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 no
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Tomato - 1 no
Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
METHOD:
Heat oil in a pan add fennel seeds and saute for a minute. Add onions and fry it and add garlic, tomatoes and saute well.
Add in spice powders and saute for a minute Let it cool and grind the mixture.
Now in the same pan add oil, mustard seeds and crackle it.add in onions and curry leaves and fry it until golden brown.
Add in the masala and mix well cook till oil separates. Add in the chopped tomatoes and toss.
Add tamarind pulp. Mix it well and bring it to boil.
Add in fish pieces mix it well season with salt. Simmer it for 10 minutes till the fish is done.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
